Intermediate Software Developer

Meta4hand is looking for an intermediate or senior C++ software developer to help with the design and development of our flagship product that uses exciting ground breaking wireless technologies. The ideal candidate must be proficient in software design, deadline-oriented, and can mentor junior team members. Our C++ Software Developers are the most critical assets to our business operations are so they are valued the most. Hence we look for highly intelligent, innovative, and dedicated embedded technology professionals.

Working within Windows environment, the Inter/Senior Developer will research, design, test, implement, and maintain wireless applications utilizing Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, Transport Layer Networking technologies and our own communications protocol. The successful candidate will work closely with not only technical but also business leadership to understand business requirements, and will collaborate with development team members to design and enhance and implement features. S/he may be required to participate in project management and the architecture and design process for our e-business internet site. S/he will test and debug applications to ensure proper performance, and will be responsible for developing/modifying program documentation.

Skills:

• Computer Science/IT degree or equivalent industry experience
• Solid application development experience using C++, C and Java (J2ME).
• Experience with all or any of embedded or handheld devices: PocketPC, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Palm
• Relevant experience in the development of Internet-ready applications programs using Internet communications protocols (TCP/IP)
• Win32 System API experience
• Experience with transport layer, network application development
• Experience with Visual Studio 2005 C++
• Experience with Subversion, Mantis, SharePoint and Wikis is a plus.
• Understanding of localization is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
